The Hawks Real Estate commercial branch is made up of father and son duo, Mark and Daniel McClam. Prior to Hawks Real Estate, Mark and Daniel worked in various segments of real estate and transacted a wide variety of deals which has created a well-rounded partnership. Each have their strengths and tag team great with aligned goals to systematically create value in every property. Combined, Mark and Daniel have transacted a multitude of uniquely structured deals. These mentioned include sale leaseback scenarios, NNN leased projects, creative financing deals, renovation projects, 1031 tax exchanges, and build-to-suit developments across multiple commercial product types. Both have worked in different capacities of real estate investment, development, and commercial brokerage throughout their careers. We take great pride in providing professional performance and the ability to solve any deal complexity that may arise during a transaction.

Daniel McClam, CCIM

On the Commercial side of Hawks Real Estate, Daniel is responsible for deal sourcing, deal underwriting, due diligence performance, and transaction management. As a Commercial Real Estate Finance Major and a CCIM designee, Daniel excels in his underwriting. Whether underperforming or stabilized, Daniel models a multitude of a scenarios based on different financing structures and exit strategies to create value. Daniel began his career as a commercial broker at Avison Young Commercial Real Estate in Charleston, SC, where in 2-years, he facilitated over 200 transactions along with multiple personal investments. Daniel holds his South Carolina Broker’s license.

Mark McClam

Mark has over 30 years of real estate experience. After establishing a large portfolio of multi-family and residential properties in SC, Mark joined NAI Avant in the 2000's as a commercial broker in the medical and retail sector. Thereafter, begin his career as a developer building build to suit urgent care facilities for Blue Cross Blue Shield. Current portfolio and experience includes urgent care facilities, single and multi-tenant medical office buildings, retail centers, and industrial facilities. Prior to real estate, Mark had a successful sales career in the medical device industry and has launched multiple successful start up companies in various industries.

Mark and his wife Carolyn have three sons who are all in real estate as a family business.
